WildArt Photographer of the Year Winners - SILHOUETTES

SILHOUETTES is a new category this year and was our theme for March. Andy Rouse was in charge of this category which proved extremely popular with around 1,100 entries from all around the world. Andy and his team spent hours deliberating over all the entries before finally agreeing on the winners as featured here. Many congratulations go to Yaron Schmid from the United States who has won the category Gold Award with his stunning image of Nubian Ibex entitled ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Yaron wins £500. TIBOR LITAUSZKI - SILHOUETTES SILVER AWARD WINNER

Congratulations also go to Tibor Litauszki from Hungary who wins our Silver Award and a voucher worth $300 from F-Stop with this amazing image of an Alpine Newt entitled ‘Floating Silhouette’; and also to Jiri Hrebicek from the Czech Republic who is awarded our Bronze prize and a Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Binocular and Camera Harness for his image of a Crow captured with intentional camera movement. Our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners all go forward to our grand final at the end of the year and are in with a chance of becoming our overall WildArt Photographer of the Year for 2022.

JIRI HREBICEK - SILHOUETTES BRONZE AWARD WINNER

FOUNDER’S CHOICE

The Founder’s Choice for SILHOUETTES is awarded to Peter Hudson from the United States for his outstanding image of a Black Flying Foxes. This image is also Highly Commended by the judges. By winning this award, Peter’s image also goes forward to our grand final at the end of the year, along with our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners.

D’ARTAGNAN SPRENGEL - SILHOUETTES YOUNG CATEGORY WINNER

Congratulations go to D’Artagnan Sprengel from New Zealand who wins our Young Award for SILHOUETTES with this cracking insect silhouette. D’Artagnan wins £50 and his image goes forward to our grand final at the end of the year when he could be crowned WildArt Young Photographer of the Year 2022. D’Artagnan is our defending young champion from 2021.
