Episode 49 - The BirdFair Interviews with Vince Maidens

Episode 49
Rob Read and Josh Galicki

Continuing our series of live podcasts from this year’s Global BirdFair in July, Rob and Josh are joined by Vince Maidens. Originally from Canada but now living in the UK, Vince is best known for his work with owls — and for being uncompromising in his views on the ‘right way’ to photograph wildlife. As well as being a photographer, Vince is also known for his Substack blog ‘The Authentic Voice’ - always a great read - and his podcast of the same name.

Part of the WildArt Bird Photography Awards judging panel and an ethics advisor to the competition, Vince chats with Rob and Josh about authenticity and the ethics of modern competition wildlife photography — and he doesn’t hold back.

Grab a coffee, buckle up and enjoy this all-too-short chat.
