FREELANCE WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER AND WRITER

Ellie is a freelance wildlife photographer, tour leader and photographic guide based in the UK. She graduated in Geography from the University of Leeds, followed by a postgraduate in Marketing. She’s just returned to university after too many years to study a part-time BSc in Biology.

Following a corporate career in marketing, Ellie began to focus on her passion for wildlife photography, turning a long-term hobby into a career change and becoming a full-time professional photographer.

She has been awarded in numerous international competitions, and is widely published in national press and magazines. She also judges the inspiring RSPCA's Young Photographer Awards, as well as being a regular blogger & seminar presenter for WEX Photo Video, the UK's leading camera and video retailer. 

She photographs in the UK and further afield, with projects taking her to east Africa, USA and Europe. One of her current ongoing projects is with the charismatic Dalmatian pelicans of Lake Kerkini.

Ellie is in her 9th year as a tour leader with Natures Images, the UK's leading wildlife photography trip company, as well as leading a number of her own tours & workshops.
